Sid Khurana, MD

Dr. Khurana M.D., DFAPA, DFAACAP is Double Board Certified in Adult, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is currently serving the role of Secretary for NPA and chairs the membership committee for NPA ( please correct the name if the name is not technically correct).
He did his Residency and Fellowship training from University of Virginia (UVA), where he served as the Chief Fellow. He is currently associated with the UNLV School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry as well as Touro University as Clinical Assistant Professor and is the outpatient Medical Training Director of Adult Psychiatry Residents and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows.
He specializes in diagnosis and treatment of lifelong psychiatric conditions that typically have an onset in childhood, like Autism, ADHD, pediatric Bipolar disorder as well as other anxiety and mood disorders, and then to manage these complex conditions across the life span all the way into adulthood. He has extensive experience in treating Neurodevelopmental conditions like FAS, as well as trauma and stressor related disorders, conditions quite commonly seen in the Child Welfare System. He prefers to optimize treatment using psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, Complimentary Integrative Medicine, as well as holistic, lifestyle modifications in comprehensive treatment of emotional and psychiatric conditions. Outside of work, he likes to stay physically active, is an avid fan of food and football, and loves to spend time with his wife and two children.
