Katie Chen is an assistant professor and an Associate Residency Program Director at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, where she also completed her residency in general psychiatry. Dr. Chen earned her medical degree from Touro University Nevada and completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University.

 

Her professional interests include the intersection of psychiatry and the law, with a focus on competency to stand trial, care of individuals with serious mental illness, and medical education. She remains active in research and has presented at national conferences including the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
