Management of Menstrual Migraine

Charles Flippen II, MD

Dr. Charles Flippen, II received his medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed his neurology residency at University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. He completed his Headache research fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Currently he is a faculty member of the Headache Research and Treatment Program at the Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center, attending neurologist at the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and Associate Professor of Neurology at the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he directs the junior medical student clerkship in Clinical Neurology.

Dr. Flippen’s research interests include treatment of facial pain and headache prevention.

Dr. Flippen is a diplomate in Neurology of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in Headache Medicine of the United Council of Neurologic Specialties. He is a member of the American Headache Society, International Headache Society, and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) where he is active in Headache education having directed several headache courses and as Chair of the Headache Topic Work Group of the Annual Meeting Sub-committee and AAN Foundation Minority Scholars Program. He also serves on the Patient Safety and Quality Measurement and Reporting sub-committees and the Nomination Committee of the AAN.
