Ethics Chair

[Voting member] serves as a leader of the Ethics Committee. He/She convenes formal ethics hearings and oversees ethics reviews and procedures as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. The APA guidelines limited this role to patient complaints against members only. NPA bylaws may give authority to the Ethics Chairperson in matters pertaining to policies, procedures and other district branch matters and membership.
